BethCreated on 11/11/13 My Dad passed away in Sept. 2013. From the moment I called Bacarella Funeral Home and spoke to Nicole I was at ease. She gave us honest prices which was in the middle of road I would say. But knowing some of the other funeral homes in the area I felt like my Dad was worth it. I wanted a tribute to his life in a beautiful, warm, comfortable place with lots of room for people to gather and celebrate the memories of one of the greatest men I ve ever known. With the most, caring, sincere, accommodating, professional s like Bill, Nicole, and Ron. Honestly, these people were amazing. They not only put up with us asking a million questions, picking up my Dad from the hospital in Ann Arbor, which they did gladly, and our requests for video s, music, etc to be played at his memorial. They did it all pleasantly and we re very meticulous! His memorial service was so beautiful! I know my Dad would be proud and so am I of Bacarella for making a horrible situation so much easier. Also the memorial cards, thank you s etc. we re so nice. I even had a special request put in mine and Bill made it happen for me. They made everything so easy for us right down to notifying Social Security for my Mom. Afterwards they gave us everything from the service including the sign for the entrance of the service, death certificate s, and memorial (visitation) book with everyone s names in it and I was amazed at the quality of this book. It is beautiful, with the details of every flower arrangement and who it was from even. Every detail was covered and we all are so great-full and impressed with this Funeral Home. Our family will be using them for all of our funeral needs in the future!

The Monroe, Michigan location is listed at 1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161. Addresses and entrances can sometimes vary for services, so it’s best to call ahead to confirm where to arrive and park.

Most funeral homes can help with funerals, memorial services, visitations, cremation or burial coordination, transportation, and required authorizations. They can also guide you through planning choices like readings, music, obituary information, and service timing.

Yes. Families often hold a visitation or service either before cremation (with the body present) or after cremation (with an urn present). The funeral home can explain your options and help plan a gathering that fits your preferences.

If possible, have your loved one’s full legal name, date of birth, Social Security number (if applicable), and information about next of kin. It also helps to share your preferred service type, any cemetery details, and immediate timing needs.

Certified death certificates are often needed for legal and financial tasks such as insurance, banking, and estate matters. The funeral home can help you order them and advise on quantity. Many families request multiple copies to avoid delays.

Not always. Some choices must be made quickly, such as selecting burial or cremation and setting service dates. Other details—like memorial items or the final wording of an obituary—may allow more time. Ask the funeral home to outline deadlines.
